Default Gray/White Smoke

Heres the stats. 2000 S2000 Ap1 with 64k Miles. Invidia test pipe, drop in K and N filter, and Carbon fiber radiator plate.

I was on the road, and downshifted to 2nd gear going 48mph this put me at around 7-8k rpm range? I noticed some white/gray smoke tailing my bumper the whole time through both 2nd and 3rd gear during WOT. I know this has something to do with oil........I just put a bunch of fresh oil in her, and no CEL, or anything.

it has nothing to do with oil if its gray or white. this is water getting into your combustion chamber, most likely your head gasket is blown, or leaking. i wouldnt WOT it anymore. burning oil would provide smoke with a blue tint in it.

i think its from your testpipe, the s2000 runs rich from the factory, without a cat to filter out the unburned fuel, black smoke will be the cause of it.

Without a cat, you're blowing all sorts of soot and carbon out the back during WOT operation. It all gets diluted and difuse by the time you see it out the rear view. If you are truely burning up coolant or oil, you'll see it just idling.

i have the same issue(bone stock 03 ap1), and have seen plenty of other ap1's with the grayish smoke at high rpms(vtec). i can really notice it at night when headlights are on my rear. dont sweat it.
