Leave the car on the ground and the parking brake on.

You also need to unstake the nut.

My drivers side was not tight and my wheel bearing is now toast,

sorry PLYRS 3, but im having the same problems too. need advice as well. this vibration happened when i lowered my car. i asked around and alot of ppl are clueless to this situation. mine vibrates during acceleration around 50-70... but once the gas is not pressed, they go away...i took it to get it balanced and also got an alignment but its still there. lugs nuts are tightly screwed on, so thats not it...i put on my stock rims but it still vibrates. any help would be great guys.

THANK GOD I AM NOT THE ONLY ONE...Someone tell me I just got Level 2 DSS Axles installed and after that install I am now noticing the vibration at around the same MPH the other people are stating...I would raelly appreciate if any of those guys trying these things tell me if they helped or if there are any other ideas out there...Also, I got my wheels Road Force Balanced too..

Could this problem be caused by not using hubcentric rings on aftermarket rims?

thanks guys.

1. i'm not hearing a ticking...but then again, it's hard to hear stuff in this car...on top of that i'm supercharged, so there is tons of excess noise.
2. i have three sets of wheels (track, summer, snows).....happens with all of them...and only at the left rear.
3. no weights missing, no rims damaged.
4. vibration is as i accelerate to 60...or decel down to 60....nothing below 60 and nothing over 65-70 as i move out of the "60" vibration zone.

i'm taking it to our local S2000 shop, but thought i would get some obvious suggestions in advance.....
Just saw the KMH (sorry, ignorant American here). Since you have ruled out the balance issue, you can start from the outside (axle nut) and work your way in. If it is the axle nut and you are past the clicking and onto vibration, you should consider the possibility that there may be bearing, race, or hub damage. Check for play in the wheel with the car raised before you torque it down. A re-torque may only be a temporary fix but it would isolate the problem for you. If you get to the point where the CV joints are suspect, keep in mind you can do a side to side swap and save some money. There is a DIY floating around here. Good luck and keep us posted.

Nimesh ........................... gas cap!

Are any of you guys lowered and did not use output shaft spacers? Your CVs may have developed new wear grooves due to the different angle of the 1/2 shafts when the car is lowered. This can damage the CVs and cause them to impart a resonance vibration that is specific to a given rotational speed.
Even non-lowered, the CVs could still get pitted badly from one of many reasons, again, producing a vibration. One way to tell is to swap the 1/2 shafts from one side to the other.

this is not due to aftermarket rims cause it happens on my stocks as well. so hubcentric rings are out of the question. gonna take "clag" suggestion and work my way outside in. thanks guys

X I thought that the ap2's do not need the spacer? this is not factual, just off of what I have read (I just learned )
