ok drama aside, iv made my mind up and going to put 4.77 gearing in (fitting along side a diff and gearbox technician)
went to kia and there is no ring and pinion in the uk, The parts man at kia said the part number that been giving out (MM05727110) is no longer in use it off the system, also said there maybe some in the storage over in Czechoslovak
iv took some pictures of the parts sheet there was two types, iv looked at the other guy that have done this before and it looks the correct one can any one verify this ? price wise one is £164 and the other is £580 both for ring and pinion going what the other guys have spent at kia its the £164 one,

My plan is to rebuild along side a specialist, i do have all the tools that are required to do the job including press, but due to my friend who do these everyday diff's,gearboxes etc so id be daft to not use his expertise so id be fitting along side him (was going to put smile face but seemingly its hard to take me seriously, lol
AusS2000 i was thinking the same among friends but iv seen so meany horrible reply just ticked me off,
Sorry for being slightly touchy dont take kindly to harshness iv got few pm's with a lot of great info they sent via pm because of oppressing people,
s2kpuppydad that all i needed cheers buddy, iv got service manuals at hand and a list of parts and fluids i need. am going to kia today to see the waiting and price of ring and pinion and along to honda for 2 pinion bearings, shim kit, crush sleeve, pinion lock nut and washer, carrier bearings (possibly) 2 axle seals, 1 pinion seal,1 distance piece, pinion shim kit, i was told the diff had low miles but could be a load of so will prop just replace the carrier bearing make it fresh and good for plenty more miles my car only got 48.000 on it not bad for 1999 want to keep it fresh and solid got few problems that need addressing soon

You've got a specialist with special tools that you can lean on and learn from. You wouldn't be doing a diff w/ basic hand tools and basic leffty loosy mechanical knowledge.
Good luck.
