Default got the electric impact wrench. finally.

hi guys. i finally got my hands on an electric impact wrench. Its a cheap one rated at 220 ft/lb (but dont know if it will actually deliver that much) and i'm experimenting with it these days. If it doesnt deliver, I'm going to go ahead and get the real elec. impact gun from DeWalt or Milwaukee. I'll be posting a detailed opinion (in Xviper style. haha) on just how much it can make your life easier. As for now, I'm planning to use it mainly to compress springs.

ok just wanted to let you all know.

Which one did you get? I have the Craftsman one, but I haven't used it much. I got it to help get my exhaust off of my Civic, but it wasn't much help since I didn't have a lot of room where I needed it...

Here's a pic of the one I have...

My roommate has this bad boy. It works great for track days.

I loosen lug nuts with a bar and tighten with a torque wrench, and just use my reversible cordless drill to take 'em on and off. Works great and I didn't have to buy another tool.

I find that electric tools are just too big for most work, but air tools are great if you will spend the bucks for them and can setup a compressor.

Yeah it's amazing how little an impact wrench with "220 ft-lbs" of max torque can actually deliver (not to mention you got a cheap one), but yeah I look forward to the review of the next one you get!
