is this good for the diff?

I never quite believe some of Redline's advertising that their fluids protect than "x" but flow better than "y", kinda deals. I know they are excellent ester based synthetics but the advertising about film thicknesses isn't something the consumer can readily see or test, and they often compare their fluids to conventional fluids etc..... . I would still stick ot the spec range of the old SAE90 (which is pretty close to the new 110).

"would it help quit down the diff? I have had Royal Purple 75W-90 in it for about 6k now and its making some chatter that I don't like any more."
I'm no Royal Purple fan but am surprised the stuff is beginning to fail at the 6,000 mile mark.
My rear-end was noisy at the 15,000 mark. I drained the factory fluid and it was pretty nasty looking. Filled up with Chevron Delo ESI 80W-90 ... much better. I'll leave that in for about 3,000 - 4,000 miles then I'll do it again and leave it in there for a few years and drain it when it has 12,000 - 15,000 miles on it and get a UOA performed to see how it's holding up.

I agree JFusion. In theory their stuff should be the best ... but vastly different colors in batches of the same product, iffy UOAs and some outright horror stories from users I've spoken to on-line has made me decide to use other brands for most automotive applications.
