It works great, doesn't last very long. Honda MTF is the best for our transmission, in my opinion.

Yeah, I think it's the "regular" GM Syncromesh that doesn't last long. Those who have used the GMS "friction modified" says it does last. I'm sure, time will expose more users who will post about this aspect of the fluid.

It is called "GM Synchromesh Friction Modified" it's part number is 12377916, call around to all local GM, Chevy, Cadallac, Buick, Pontiac, GMC dealers to find it. They do not all carry it. ~$12 a quart, you will need the better part of 2 bottles.

I changed my 2004 to GMSFM last weekend and at 3,200 mi. It is noticeably smother, 2-3 notchiness is much better when cold. We'll see how long it lasts.

IMO Honda MTF is above average but not necessarilly "the best" for our transmissions.

I've used Redline MTL, MT-90, a 50/50 mix of the two and now I'm using GMSFM and it is noticeably better than all the others I've tried. I'm going to shoot for changing it every two oil changes(10k miles) and see how well it holds up.

If another 1000 S2000 owners switch over to GMSFM, does that mean we are going to have another 1000 threads in UTH talking about it? There hasn't been a single shred of new information in any of the last several "I switched to GMSFM" threads!
