For me, GM has been the best. Amsoil felt good at first, but went downhill fast (around 1k miles).

i just bought the GM Syncromesh Fortified here on Amazon -

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Will let you know how it feels over the MTFII. Right now i have the typical AP1 notchyness going from 1->2, 2->3 and a fresh change of the Honda MTF hasnt helped....im hoping the GM fluid helps..

The GM part number i used was 88900399.
I'd definitely try to get it from a dealer next time. I think the price I was quoted was $11/qt, although I ended up getting it for a little over $8. Local Chevy dealer has a sick military discount on parts.

I Just put Honda MTF in mine about 150km ago. Shifts like a dream, no grinds, clunks or metal-on-metal noise, and no more cold transmission issues, pops straight into 2nd, 3rd, 4th, you get the idea. Finally understood the meaning behind 'shifts like butter'

Over 10 years of owning my 03,I've used just about every fluid out there.

For me,the Honda MFT2 and Amsoil feel about the same when fresh, but the Honda fluid seems to shear down a little quicker.

That's just my O....

Change that stuff out. My previous ap1 trans synchros got progressively worse, and I eventually had to change to an ap2 trans.

I now use this stuff, since Motul says it's specifically for Honda/Aisin synchros.

How does the Motul stuff compare to Honda MTF2? I'm using Honda fluid now and once the tranny is good and warm it shifts great, but its very notchy when the weather is cold.
