Getting P0036 and sometimes P0039 crank but no fire after swap
I am trying to wrap up my long block swap. Seller assured me that even though his motor was an 05 cable car it would swap intro my 07 drive by wire car. I have the Honda oe manual and was extremely careful with harnesses and proper re assembly. I swapped oil pan, valve cover, intake and exhaust manifolds from the 07 motor onto the long block. as I was connecting the harness to the motor the crank position sensor plug on the front intake manifold bolt wasn't correct so I swapped the sensor from my 07 into the motor and torqued to spec. After completing install and moving to starting the car it cranks fine but no spark. I get CEL when I use my Innova reader it will pull either p0336, or 0339. I noticed a sensor for the cam on the old valve cover that is not on my 07 cover and as far as I can see I don't have wiring for it. Pic of the 04 valve cover and sensor attached. What am I missing. I just want my baby back on the road. Did I make a mistake with the 04-05 motor or should I be ok since they are both f22c1? What is my next step?

The Crank position sensor, crank wheel and TDC sensor and TDC wheel may differ. That should give you a start to look into it. I believe that you have to take the timing cover off. There may also be a difference in the camshaft components but I don't recall specifically. You can look for part#'s and compare them between 2004-2005(Cable) and 2006+(DBW) to start.
These are the part numbers for 06+ that I recall being different between 00-05 and 06+
Crank sensor 37500-PZX-003
Crank wheel 13622-PCX-013
TDC sensor 37510-PZX-003
TDC wheel 14112-PCX-003

Did you pull the oilpan and timing cover and change the trigger wheel? If not, she will not sync/run.
One of the trigger wheels on one camshaft must be changed as well.
I THINK you can use the 2005 valve cover, even though one cam sensor will sit dormant.
I cannot be sure on this...since you may have to pull the cover to do the camshaft trigger wheel, use the 07 valve cover.
