i'm better door speakers for my00 ap1...what size is our stock door speaker size? i'm thinking about the polkmomo MMC6500 (6.5 in), MMC5250 (5.25in) or the polk db6500 (6.5 in), db5250 (5.25in)...which one should i get? anyone have those? wat size would fit better cuz it looks like there is not much room....any cutting etc required for 6.5?

Not sure about the 2001 model but I have 6.5" Boston Acoustics Pro components in my 2005 car. There are two things that need to be done.

1) Either cut your stock speaker basket or remove them altogether. I chose to remove the stock speaker basket.

2) Most aftermarket speakers are thicker than the stock speakers. You have to have a spacer so that the speaker does not hit the window the windows are rolled down. Some people make a spacer out of 3/4 " mdf. I just used the spacer that was included with the Boston Speakers.
