Default Gemini Alarm/Immobiliser

So, 15 years since I had one of the first S2000s in the UK, and now with grown up kids who don't need dad's taxi, I have bought myself another... Oh, I love it, & appreciate it more than I did back then.

I have bought an absolute gem, but with a flaw... The immobiliser works sometimes and doesn't others. When it's disarmed and doesnt work, I don't really care, but when it's armed and won't start, it gets difficult.

The car has the Gemini, sticker in the window, so I assume that is the type of immobiliser fitted. I've bought a new key & fob, so that is not the issue.

I am more than happy to remove or bypass the immobiliser, and can probably do it myself with your guidance (and photos if you have them?).

Pleasee help before it packs up all together when I'm in the middle of nowhere!

Thanks in anticipation!

Any idea who installed the thing? They or a shop that does install them maybe your best bet.

Congrats on the "new" Honda. Good luck!

It's the alarm/immobiliser fitted by Honda. I have spoken to my local dealer. They are confused... Apparently the AP1 had an imobiliser unit under the front seat, and the key fob was a square version. However, my '02 AP1 has the newer key, and immobiliser as part of the ECU, yet this version did not start until AP2 in 04. Their computer record shows mine is fitted with the newer system & they don't know why!... If I don't get anywhere on here, they have said they will have a look at it for me (for free), but a new ECU is £720 ... :-((, if I have to replace it..
