This is wrong. I know my car well, and these are the top speeds....
1st: 39 (40 if i'm burning out)
2nd: 55
3rd: 80
4th: 105
5th: 125
6th: i dont know, but i've hit 150
I don't care if Mr. Honda tells me otherwise, these are the top speeds. I'll record a video for you nonbelievers. And because all the the figures i was shown just now are false, you've lost credibility on the other figures.

4th is 101
5th is 126
6th is 157.
and to those who say, of youll never go that fast, either you have a slow ass car, or your afraid to drive it. my car buries 157 in 6th, like it used to bury 125/6 in 5th. its all about how much power your making. and im not proud of this, but many times street racing ive reached 140. yes the streets are long in vegas, and where we race at nite, there are no cars. and i can tell you, the evo/sti guys, and the vette/cobra guys are not givin up. if your still in front at 110, they wont stop racing till they win. LOL. thats why we roll on alot, to gauge power.

i ran a stock ap1 from a 3rd gear roll and was able to pull a 1-1.5 cars with my gears, drop in, and test pipe only. i raced him with just a test pipe only a long time ago before i had gears from a 3rd gear roll and i was only able to inch away from him.

top speed of an ap1 + 4.77s is similar to the ap2 + 4.10s, going higher stock gearing on the ap2 is going to yield fun acceleration but an ap2 + 4.77s topping out in 2nd gear at 48.5 mph is too much of a sacrifice...

I had 4.77's on my '02, and thought they were fun around town (surface streets). However, they absolutely killed me on the track and autocrosses. I was never competitive again against stock geared S2000's. All the stock geared S2000's were able to enjoy the whole autocross course in 1st or 2nd, but I was constantly shifting between 2nd and 3rd. I eventually just gave up autocrossing, and focussed on HPDE's. Even there, I was consistently 1 gear higher than the stock geared S2000's.
The only time that a lower geared car will consistently be better than a stock geared equivelent car will be on a 1/4 mile track from a dig. From a roll, it all depends on the rolling speed. If you do a bunch of rolling starts from 5, 10, 15, 20, etc. against a stock geared S2000, you'll win about half of them, and lose the other half.
Now that I have an AP2, which already has almost identical peak speeds for each of the lower gears as an AP1 with 4.77's, I would not even consider getting lower gears! I would be more likely to get higher gears so I can be competitive with AP1's at an autocross.
