Gearbox issue?

Gearbox issue?
Have got another problem with my S2000
On hard acceleration there is a noticeable whoosh sound, like a supercharger? Sounds like from the gearbox.
And on de-acceleration or low speed driving it sounds like a bag of spanners! Lots of clunky/grinds sounds.
It's also getting harder to get into 1st and 2nd especially when cold.
Does this sound like it will need a full box refurb? Or just some bearings?
Cheers.

Sounds familiar.
By the time you pay someone to pull the trans out and crack it open for anything, its usually more cost effective to just find a lower mileage trans and pay for for a direct swap/replacement.

Thanks, yes this was my first thought, but the lowest milage box i can find in the UK has around 70K miles on it, mines only done 95K
so what if in 6 months this does the same!
Im probably capable of removing the box myself (I'm pretty good with the spanners, although not very fast!)
However it does look like these gearbox parts are not cheap!!
