It gets cold here in NY too, not as cold as Norway but we can easily hit 0 to 5 degrees F. during the winters. Some don’t drive their S in the cold but since my daily driver needs a clutch right now I have no choice. What I do is turn the key to get all the electronics going and let it sit for 5 seconds, then start the engine with the car in neutral. I then let the car warm up in neutral for about 20 minutes; this way the tranny spins and lubes up at idle before I start driving. If I don’t do this, the clutch and tranny are a bit sluggish. Works for me, I’d give that try…

We get to -15 F routinely here. Sometimes it doesn't like going from neutral to first gear when cold. Also sometimes neutral to reverse.
If you start with clutch in and go from 3rd --> 2nd --> 1st gear when standing still it helps work the shafts and gears. Don't force anything.

I agree. In these extreme temperatures, no matter the inconvenience, I'd suggest starting the car in neutral, and letting it warm up. Sure it's annoying, but...
1)This car was NOT designed to operate in arctic conditions, since sports cars never are. Sure, you CAN use it, but certain steps must be taken.
2)Warming the car up is MORE convenient than replacing a transmission.

Interesting. I've not had a problem at -5 to -12c with the tranny. I garage it however, let it warm up for 30s and back out of the garage. The car is COLD, very cold, but I hold gears to 3-4k to get the tranny fluid moving and warm.
FYI my garage is separate from the home. if it's -12c out it's about -10c in the garage.
My theory, this is not temp related but the cold temps show a current problem.
Unless I'm mistaken, there is nothing 'different' about this car from honda that would stop it from working in cold temps.
