If anyone out there has any input it would be greatly appreciated. I'm doing land speed racing these days and according to an online calculator I found the stock gear ratio in the S2K is capable of doing 201.8 mph at 9000 rpm in 6th gear with 255/35R18s on the rear. Any ideas if that's about right?
Thanks,
Larry
I don't see an aftermarket clutch in your list of mods (in your sig.). I seriously doubt the OEM clutch will hold up to that kind of speed. Do you have a hard top?
Clutch going in second week in October right after my custom exhaust install. The OEM is already fried. LOL. It lasted about all of 2 weeks after I got the turbo up and running. Oh well. Differential will be next...
So what about the hard top? I would think that a hard top would be a must for safety, and it would make the car more aerodynamic. I have been wondering for a while how much faster the top speed would be on a stock S2000 just by adding the hard top (especially the Mugen top).
Hard top is in the works but won't be on the "can do" list until spring. And yes I will be going with a carbon fiber top like the mugen. That alone will give me an additional 7-10 mph top speed.
