gear grind when shifting slow at high rpm
my 3rd gear grinds when i shift slow at high rpm. by "slow" i mean im rpm matching and waiting for the revs to drop before engaging the clutch.
i would take it to 9k rpm in 2nd gear, clutch-in, and i slowly but smoothly move the gear lever into 3rd as the rpms are dropping and it grinds horribly as i put it into gear with the clutch still in; then i would keep the clutch in and put it back in neutral immediately to stop the grinding
this has happened several times but not always. and i am 100% sure that i had the clutch all the way in when this has happened.
could it be my synchros?
