Default Gear Change in VTEC

When changing gears fast in VTEC sometimes it seems as though the gear does not "catch" suddenly, rather it "slides" into the next gear.Is this me not letting the clutch out fast enough or does my clutch need to be replaced?

It's probably the clutch delay valve if you have an 05.

The delay valve doesn't have anything to do with it when it is already in the gear. Your clutch is slipping while you are in the higher rpm range.

You may want to change your info over there <<<< it says you have a model year 2000.

agreed i noticed this as well at over 120mph+ speeds (this was during fall not winter.. lol)..
i would shift to 5th and 6th and i could see the small delay of the rpms
thing is, i only have 4500 miles so im assuming that cluctch is a-ok...
