Lots of opinions on clutch weight, but this is the model my installer prefers (and what he had in stock).

How much does the stock model year 2000 flywheel weigh? You have any drivability issues with the lighter FW?
Thanks, again.

It drives great! Pedal is VERY light and the engagement is smooth.
I was a little concerned about switching to a lightweight FW. I recently test drove a CR that clearly had an aftermarket clutch/flywheel. It was terrible!
I was afraid of mine turning out like that. My mechanic assured me that it would be a good setup, and he was right.
Now, I've never driven an s with a brand new clutch/stock FW, so I can't really say how it compares to going with a stock FW.
The guy that did the work knows his stuff, so if it's the setup he prefers, then there must be something to it.

Ap1 flywheel is 14lbs Ap2 is 10lbs heavier. I wouldn't go below 10lbs for a street driven flywheel.

I had this exact same issue. When I did my swap, I took the tranny off and found out my clutch broke and one spring was really loose. Thought it was my transmisson at first but it's the clutch that wasn't fully engaging. Goodluck!
