well..i actually went and did it today based on what was told to me..i did it b4 and i just have to remember...
the process is rather easy and only took about 20min...Note: you better have a good back..lol
1. Remove the 3 screws holding the plastic steering column cover. The 3 screws are located under the steering wheel. then toss the bottom section aside for now.
2. Remove the 2 12mm bolts underneath the plastic steering column cover...they are a coupld of inches away from the steering wheel. this should make the sterring wheel lower a tad bit...you can now remove the upper half of the plastic column cover..toss that aside as well.
3. About 8 inches lower..right above the black long kick plate...un screw the 2 12mm bols about half way...this will drop the steering column enough so that you can remove the dash panel cover...
4. Pop off those 2 plastic covers right in front/above the instrument cluster. Now the 2 bolts should be exposed..so you can now unscrew those.
5. Wedge the dash panel cover gently so that you can remove all the electric wire that are attached to the instrument panel cover...once all the electric plugs are unplugged...remove the cluster and set it aside
7. Remove the 4 bolts that hold up the instrument cluster in place. NOw you should be able to get behind the cluster to remove those electric plugs.
8. Done!! :-)
remember to place all the screws in a nice place so you can put everything back together properly.
