Default Gauge cluster

Anybody have a pic of the ap2 gauge cluster, mine looks a little weird, and it gets a little warm is this normal.

I also tested without car running, It gets warm, from it being illuminated.

Well actually after doing a search i found that it is normal looking , but it does get warm.

Well its soppose to get warm, just like when you turn on any light it generates heat(eg-headlight..etc)

If you've never seen another AP2 gauge cluster, how did you come to the conclusion that it was "weird" looking in the first place?
