gas refill tank top plastic fell into gas tank
#11
Don't worry with it. I dropped an 8mm filler neck nut in my tank while installing the suspension. I am bat crazy OCD and "had" to get it out. Royal PITA considering I had to remove the fuel pump and reach in there to retrieve it. Looking back there is no way it would have ever harmed anything. I knew that going into it, but my OCD wouldn't let me leave it in there. There are small baffles in the tank where the sock sits, so no way it would have even made it to the pump. If it somehow sloshed over the baffles, the sock will prevent it getting sucked up.

You should file a complaint with the EPA and demand that they pay to get that piece out of your tank. It's their regs that caused that to happen in the first place.
It is extremely difficult to put gas in your tank with those tubes and almost impossible to fill a lawn mower tank without spilling gas all over the place. If my wife or anyone like her had to use one in an emergency she would be screwed.
