I am posting this on multiple forums, so sorry if you have already read this question:
When I was driving home last night I was down to about half a tank. Then as I got close to the house, I noticed that the gauge said that I had nearly a full tank. Obviously I thought this was weird, but I let it go.
When I drove into work this morning, it started out saying I was near full, but it seemed to gradually go down to the appropriate level over about a 30 minute period (or at least I assume that it is the right level - I can't be too sure).
Has this happened to anyone before? Is it common?

i use the trip set...the 1/2 way point on the gas guage coresponds to an amount of miles driven, you get used to that quickly if you monitor the trip set enough...the trip set is a better indicator to go by in my experience...my mileage varies usually by 2 mpg most so a tank variance is usually 10-20 miles give or take...at about 240 i see i need gas soon, etc...it is just another way to stay on top of the crappy gas guage readings.
