Default Gas Door Release Part number?

So, I've been installing my new stereo system today, and running all my wires and everything. Turned the car on, and checked to make sure my headunit worked and everything, started running speaker wires (My car is entirely stripped at this point, because I'm installing sound deadener also), and I step into the drivers side, crouch down, pull some wire out, and then go to stand up, catch the back of my pants on the gas door release and snap it right the **** off.

Anyone happen to know the parts number for it? Or where I can find it online? I tried looking on the Honda e-store, but couldn't find it in any of the diagrams.

Needless to say, I knew something bad was going to happen. I can't do anything on this car, without ****** something else up...

I have to replace the entire cable? I can't just replace the pull knob assembly?

That is correct. Most Honda cables are only sold as an entire assembly.

At least you aren't working on an Accord or Civic with the trunk and gas door cable... in which case you would be needing to replace both cables as on unit. I'm just sayin...

That sucks. Atleast it's only like $35 though. Too bad it's a $35 accident.

Anyone know an easy way to reinstall the grommet that runs from the passenger footwell, to the outside of the vehicle. It's on the same tubing that runs the wires to the passenger door, but there is a grommet on the door, and a grommet to the access hole in the footwell. The grommet in the footwell pulled out when I was running my speaker cable.

Can't seem to push it in by sliding my hand between the door and the cabin, and pushing from the outside. Didn't know if anyone had any other tricks.

Just curious, how have you been opening up the fuel door if the knob broke? If you are leaving it open, what are you going to do if you accidently close it?

Haven't been driving. Had about a half tank, and ran some "must do errands" but then have been driving my parents truck when need be.

Hopefully new one will be in tomorrow.
