Flyryd,
I got a call to say the oil filter has arrived and my wife is picking it up while she's in town. She's under strict instructions to only collect it if it's blue and not the cheap green one. As they've charged $47 I'm expecting it to be the blue one as the standard green is only around $16.
At 9000rpm I want the best oils and filters available.
A search on here reveals that the black bottle/blue label MTF is the older oil and owners experiences with the newer 'green label' MTF is much better, with smoother changes and complete elimination of the 1st to 2nd gear grind these cars suffer from.
As for the diff washers? Who knows, they've arrived from Japan and as I said before I can only work with what I'm told by Christchurch parts dept.
I'll keep in touch and if should my local Honda outlet be unable to help I might have to use the Batphone and contact your Auckland branch.
All the best,
Paul.

If you PM your address to me, I will mail you a couple of quarts of LE 1605 at whatever the cost is for me. That should last you a couple of years. Don't worry about the diff plug washers. I don't think I've ever replaced them after several changes.

Honda does have a gl5 gear oil for our cars now. My honda tech got me some last week when i did my fluids and it seems pretty good. Looks like you may have to start ordering stuff online for your car if you cant find it local
