Fumoto Oil Drain Valve(s)

If you go to the Fumoto website and enter your auto information in the drop down menu, it will give you the proper valve(s) AND extensions, if needed. No guessing at all. I think, not positive, the new rotating valve does not need an extension. I have installed 6 of these on my vehicles.
There are two adapters, ADL and ADP, I will order the shorter one to be safe, return it if not needed and update the post with the results. Unfortunately, I am not doing the change on the S until January 2021.

I also ordered both. One is 1/2 inch long (ADP), the other is 1-inch long (ADL). Most prolly the shorter adapter which does the job, is the better choice.

I ordered the basic model valve and the 1/2 inch ADP adapter. I hope 1/2 inch is enough because if its not I'll have to wait until next year to install this thing.

If you could please post how well that ADP adapter fits, I'd appreciate it.
Thanks!
Thanks!

EDIT: I just looked at the Fumoto web site. They are clearly recommending the shorter adapter for the S2k. We shall see.

Just received the F106SX yesterday, which is the newer style rotating valve that uses a banjo bolt. I like that I'll be able to orient the drain portion itself straight down. I also like the integrated O-rings instead of the felt washers that the standard valves come with, although when I had my STi, I just used OEM crush washers in place of the felt ones and never had an issue. I think the newer style is the most ideal for our cars, but I'll report back after I install it today.

I used that newer model on my last S2k. IDK. I think I like the simplicity and small profile of the older model.

Wait, you can rotate that thing 90 degrees (if there is enough clearance) so nothing hangs down. Then retighten. I think that is the point of the new system. You can rotate anyway you want. The valve tightens on itself, not re-tightening on the oil pan at all.

My memory is that you need an adapter to push it out away from the pan a bit if you want to rotate it to a horizontal position? Not sure on that.
Also, if you rotate it to a horizontal position, the flow is directed in a way that I found inconvenient. I ended up using a section of tubing on it when I drained the oil. I found the thing a bit too fussy for my taste.
