The 2 bolts that attach the passenger side assembly has some room for play. Loosen both bolts and have someone else tighten them while you align the tips. You shouldn't have to bend hangers to make this work. My tips are within 1/16" of each other.

I got lucky... mine lined up perfectly

Thanks to Legal Bill for his excellent "how-to" thread for removing the stock system.

The mounting tubes seem like they should be easier to bend than the stock exhaust, so hopefully it shouldn't be too hard to get yours to line up.

A couple impressions:

At first, I thought it was too quiet, but I've quickly come to love this exhaust. No droning at all, and a nice deep, not too loud, note. (Goes particularly well with the sound from the AEM V2.) I think it looks great as well. I have chromed wheels, so it's a nice match.
Thanks for the update!!

I don't think adjusting the two bolt on the driver side muffler is going to fix the problem as you want your connection of two assemblies to be as flush as possible. My two tips were off quite a bit, adjusting the bolts alone would not have worked.

Drewchie,
I am glad you're happy the exhaust since I took good care of it for you...

Glad it worked out OK

Here's one that captures the whole shiny exhaust/wheels concept I was going for...

If you look at the rubber doughnut that is between the hanger and the car, there is a center hanging position. I just used that and it solved the problem.
