Who here has had their fuel pump replaced? I did about 6 months ago and I'm having some other issues... any help appreciated... Basically I have two questions....
Are the newer fuel pumps the exact same as the older one's?
and Is anyone having issues with starting their car, When I start it up in the morning it immediatley stalls out... if I re start there's no problem.
Anyone else have this issue or any suggestions?

J, it may not be a faulty fuel pump. You should hook up a fuel pressure gauge and see what kind of constant and residual fuel pressure your pump is producing. If it's within spec, the problem is with another component.
I'm assuming you're talking about cold starts?

What if you start it up and immediately give it a little gas in neutral? Does it still stall out on you?
It's not like the engine is pulling timing or leaning out your air/fuel mixture, because on cold starts you're in open loop and your air/fuel is fixed at 0 counts and your spark advance at base timing... That rules out IAT...
Do you have a rough idle otherwise? Or is there a slight hesitation when you tip-in the throttle from idle?

It will start immediately if I give it a little gas... but only start up on the second try without gas...
No rough idle otherwise at all and no hesitation either...

Small-displacement high-rpm VTEC motors don't like cold starts. Never have, never will. I don't think there's anything wrong with your motor.
If the problem only occurs on cold starts where the engine has been off for several hours, and you otherwise have no driveability problems, I wouldn't worry about it.
I had to crank my Camaro 3 times this morning before it would idle without dying. And it was only 50
