Unhappy Fuel Pressure Testing

Am testing fuel pressure on my S. Due to easy access of the rubber return fuel line at the FPR I am using this. Would the fuel pressure be a useable number after the FPR on the return line? I am getting a reading of 12psi which is drastically low and would provide reasoning behing my intermittent stalling and hard starting...

I assume this pressure is lower being down stream in the system... However how much lower would this be..

You want to measure before the FPR, not after.

Realising my mistake while thinking about it last night I am now sitting in the office trying to think of an easily accessible fuel supply line prior to the rail. Is there a rubber fuel line that is close?

Anyone have a picture of their bay around that area or a decent diagram?

Don't most fuel rails have a schraeder valve where you can attach the fuel pressure gauge?

I'll have to check on my S when I get home.

According to the helms, you need to remove the fuel pulsation damper on the fuel rail (looks like a big knob thingy) and attach the pressure gauge there. fuel pressure should be between 47 and 54 psi.

I drilled a hole on the end of my fuel rail. I tapped 1/4" NPT liquid filled pressure gauge, search for Sidway's install tread.

The OEM tool replaces the fuel damper, and a pressure gauge attaches to it.
