Fuel pressure problem w/ Comptech SC kit
If anyone can help, I am in great need of it. I put a used SC on my 01 S and it was burning amost a tank a day. I went to honda and borrowed a fuel pressure gauge. It goes to 75 psi. at idle the car pegs the gauge. I have replaced the following parts from Comptech and then tested the pressure with no change:
FPR (twice and Comptech said it was bench tested and all is good)
Fuel Pump (while instaling this, I tested to make sure the return line was not blocked and it is fine.)
If I spin the pressure adjustment on the FPR it does nothing to the fuel pressure.
I know the gauge is good becuase I put it on my friends stock s and got like 33psi
What the heck could be going on????

I would double check the fuel return hose from the FMU to the hardline under the car, make sure It's not pinched or crimped. The pressure in the rail is well above what the regulator sets it at. So the only other cause of the high pressure is a blocked or restricted return line.

Usually if the vacuum line to the regulator is disconnected, you will see a 10-15psi increase over static fuel pressure. Stock fuel pressure is just under 50 psi. I'm guessing with the pegged out pressure gauge, the static pressure is much higher than 75psi.

The return line is not blocked. It flows fine back to the pump. When I disconnect the vacume line on the FPR with the gauge on, there is no change since the gauge is pegged, but I can hear a small change in the engine. Could anyother vacuum line have anything to do with this.
What about the ESM??? Could that have anything to do with it???
Also I thought the stock Fuel pressure at idle was 34 psi with the SC kit and the vacuum line connected.
