Fuel Gauge?

Maybe it's half full?
Sorry, couldn't resist!
This is very odd behavior and suggests that there may be a fault in the fuel guage system, either the sending unit is defective or the guage itself is behaving abnormally.
If you're adding fuel until the pump clicks off, the pump may be shutting down prematurely. However, if you're adding more than 6 or 7 gallons and your guage still reads 1/2, I'd look into the sending unit or guage.

Had simular problem on my new 06.. Was almost empty, so I placed two gallons in it.. the fuel showed over 1/2 tank!! This is the third time within a period of a month. I had my wife take it back to her dealership, they couldnt find anything wrong with it on the diagnostics. BUT... one of the techs told her they are having problems on some of the Accords and Pilots with it.. He is contacting corp to see what if anything can be done..
