Default Fuel Dampener & Banjo bolt Questions

Okay i'm trying to modify the stock fuel rail to fit with my hypertune intake. The dampener on the fuel feed line hits the plenum.

First question is: Is the dampener nessecary or can i do without it?

Second: Is the banjo bolt in the stock fuel rail pressed in or threaded?

I wouldn't say it's absolutely necessary, many OBDII Honda's don't use a damper.
