This first pic. Chop the corner off at 45 degree angle to all planes (you're taking the corner off). When done, measure across the ground off portion and it should be about 1.5".

I bought a cheap angle grinder, with wheel for about 20 bucks. It's not something I use often, so it didn't have to be good quality.

Yeah, pretty much. I didn't grind off enough from mine the first time around. That dimple formed within a few days. Although I took the bumper off again and ground the crap out of it, the dimple remains to this very day.
You can sort of "massage" it back down after you finish the grinding, but it'll always be there and you'll see it upon close examination.

Viper, can the dimples get worse? I obtained a grinder and am thinking about doing it this weekend. What sucks is that I noticed one on the drivers side too. I didnt see it a few days ago. The passenger side is somewhat larger.
What bothers me is that "I KNOW" they are there. To another person I am sure they would really have to look hard to find. I guess I am a perfectionist when it comes to this car.

The front bumper vibrates and moves around quite a bit - more than you can imagine. If left unattended, this constant movement will only grind away at the underside of the bumper. Eventually, it can quite conceivably wear a hole through the bumper. That dimple will turn into a bunch of cracks, then a hole.

The right side is predominantly worst than the other side. Just make sure that after you do the grinding, that you use a good dose of touch up paint to cover any exposed metal. Let it dry before putting the bumper on. Should only take an hour or so to dry well.

Thanks...It looks as if I have a little bit of work to do this weekend. BTW how far back along the top do I have to cut? I notice there is a top piece that connects to the beam. I dont want to shave too far back.

A "corner" has 3 lines coming to a common meeting point. Grind the point off so that each "line" gets about an inch to 1.5" ground off - more so on the top lines since that's what hits the bumper.
