Front bumper bar
hello guys . i just installed J's racing tsuchinoko intake for my ap2. and i had to take out a bar in the bumper to make the install. there was a bar where the snorkel's mouth was taking the air , just down in the bumper . the bar was something like a strut bar. i talked to my service and my shop about that bar , they told me that ap1 s didnt have that bar. so it was not a problem they said. what do you guys think about this ?

I know which bar you are talking about and at first I removed it when installing the FMAC upgrade. After looking again I was able to make some adjustments and keep the bar there.
It is about the same size as a standard STB.
It is NOT the bar that the styrofoam attaches to. It's the same size as the bar in the trunk when you remove the liner.
Although it probably serves as minimal reinforcement.....I didn't like the idea of taking it out.
