Default Fresh rebuild complete

So I finally finished, after 6 months and 6 grand my car is complete and back together. I want to eventually post a thread with all the pics and vids but for now I have a question. The car sat for a long time and the rotors were coated in a rust layer so thick you would think I painted them orange. My abs is the only light I have on and I don't know why. I was thinking I just need to break hard a couple of times to clean them up or maybe just a sensor. I dropped my code reader yesterday on the ground and broke the screen so I can't tell. Any input would be great.

Also my fuel consumption is outrageous. Is this because it is still fresh? In the first 30 miles I burned a quarter of a tank. It's only has 50 miles on it now.

Well, for your fuel consumption, I'd run a full tank before jumping to conclusions. Mine has never been rebuilt or anything, but sometimes, it seems like I go through a 1/4 of a tank in 30 miles. Later one, the gauge seems to stabilize and it becomes normal.

Also I put bigger pistons in it, 88mm and crower crods, I thought maybe I would burn more feel because of the bigger pistons. But not this much.

I wanted a tune, but the speed shop where I'm at said its no use unless I get an AEM ems or a k-pro. I don't have the money for that now I spent every dime on my rebuild alone.

you gonna start damaging the engine from inside out if you don't get a tune pretty soon. all that 5 grand would go to waste...
