Default Freak accident caused OEM grill to snap off. Any easy way to replace it? Possible NSFW picture inside

So a few months back, I was driving home from work when a coyote ran in front of my car and got stuck inside the bumper:

After dislodging the body, I noticed the grill was broken and couldn't be salvaged. Looking online, I saw the grill was only around $40 and contacted the dealership about purchasing it to replace it myself. They told me that the grill could only be installed with a new bumper because of some plastic clips or something. I'm obviously not gonna replace the bumper just to replace the grill so does anyone have an idea on a work around or if that's even the case? Thanks.

I not to sure; however, maybe you can post pictures of the actual damages in order to have more experienced members help. It's hard to see what happened with the dead coyote sticking out of your car.
Did you check the radiator for damages? When I hit a coyote with a Honda accord, the coyote destroyed the bumper and cracked my radiator. I was going about 65.

Mine got dislodged years ago from a cone on an autocross course. There are plastic nubs that a clip installs on to hold the insert in. They are likely broken.

I just used some rivets on the bottom and top instead. Once you know where to put them, you don't even need to remove the bumper to do it. Though if you want to put washers on the back, you'll need to.

You don't need a new bumper because of a damaged grill. The grill's are replaceable. There are push clips that are holding the grill to the bumper. If they're not MIA you don't even need to buy them, just buy a new grill and reuse them.

Yeah you'll just have to get creative with glueing it in or something. The little clips suck but there may be a few left intact.

Think this kind of thing happens a lot.

I did this a few years ago and did the writeup for it. Might be worth doing for you, you drill into the grill not the bumper and it looks OEM. Still holding up to this day.

My clips snapped and I tried using 2M double sided tape, it's held up for 2 months now, no issues.

Had both of my top tabs broken from highway debris a year ago. Bought a new grill. Went with this mod and its been keeping it perfect for over a year so far. Only costed me like 3 bucks for the push pins at auto part store.

I drilled and used zip ties.
