Good news
Did you (or they) figure out how much oil you lost while it was still leaking?
How did the bad seal look, any clue why it leaked?
Maybe you were way to happy picking up your S that you forgot to ask these things

oh yeah, and he said that it was near a quart and a 1/2 low. i really dont think any damage could have been done, i probably would have noticed it alread. plus, i'm pretty sure, if it was waaay too low, it would have started grinding before it would have took a shit.

well, the seal has been doing good for the past 100 miles, buuut....i noticed some oil gathering up right where the rear part of the tranny bolts to the main housing....WTF honda!!! well, its not really a bad leak, nothing to keep me from driving it, but this is just getting ridiculous. the dealer said they cant get me in until monday. uugghhhh

Same thing just happened to me. Its a 05 and not even 2 years old yet. I pulled the tranny and found out that the culprit was the trannsmission input seal. Since I had everything off I swapped out the stock clutch for a single plate exedy.
I just pray that it doesn't happen again........

to anyone that was interested....this 'second' leak came from the dealers maintenance malpractice....the damn fill bolt was finger tight.......wtf
