I've used both redline formulations, and blended them, and frankly they are worse in my opinion than Honda II (except for very cold conditions). I had an amsoil sponsorship once upon a time and give it up due to their distribution and marketing strategy. Honda II is pretty good intially, but I find the performance falls off fast and is consistently notchy for me at 60F when broken in.

I'm using the Honda gen II MTF and it lasts 7k. I want something better.
I agree, the HMTF works great but just doesn't last very long. I've tried a number of MTFs in my car and none made my trans shift better then HMTF. I may try the LE brand of MTF. I have their other gear oil in my diff and like it.

Right now I just change it out every 5k or so. I just changed it last week and it shifts like new again. My Skunk2 magnetic drain plug has only the smallest amount of metalic dust when I change it.

I just switched to GM SM and love it. I have ran MT-90 in the past and loved it as well. Honda MTF is way too notchy after a few thousand mils.

Try the Amsoil, you'll never use anything else after it. I've tried em all, and Amsoil is MILES better than anything else.
