Dang. Now I gotta worry about that. Should have bought a new s2k back when I could. This is starting to bug me. How to tell if car has been tracked?

What would you do one way or another? You purchased a used vehicle; there's a level of risk & unknowns you accept.
Just drive it and enjoy. There are many other items we can identify to add to your "worry list".

Your post isn't that helpful but thanks anyway. I know of many things that can go wrong by reading the forum but they don't apply specifically to my car. As far as differently I guess I could trade it in for a diesel vw. Lol

Sure they apply to your car. Here's one - have the valve adjustments been maintained meticuously? particularly the exhaust side? MY06+ are notorious for having tight exhaust valves which often lead to burnt valves and increased wear on valve guides.
Have you had your clearances checked? and/or health of your valvetrain? It's recommended to run them on the looser side of the spec to mitigate this issue.
