Default Fluid change based on age

There are a number of fluids that the manual says should be changed based on the age of the car rather than the number of miles traveled.

I have a MY 2000 that I bought in October 1999, serial # 0138. It now has about 24K miles. I don't drive it in winter. A little more than half the miles were in local driving.

The engine oil gets changed at the beginning of summer before I start driving the car again. The coolant has been changed once, as has the differential fluid. It has been dealer serviced in general according to the manual based on mileage.

According to the manual I should have replaced the transmission fluid and the brake fluid. Should have that been done/ What other items are essential based on age alone.

I don't race the car although I drive it assertivly at times.

Any guidance would be appreciated.

Clutch fluid? Mine is an 01' with 12k miles now and when I changed the clutch fluid, I noticed a difference. With age, things like brake fluid absorb water so it is always a good idea to change them with age.

i've noticed when i change diff fluid, if it comes out black, you need to do it once a week for at least 3 weeks to get it to drain gold.
