Default Fluid based on time or mileage?

So i've been researching the approptiate oils and fluids for my 2001 s2k. I was going to change the Diff fluid, the MT fluid and finally install my CEL fix today. Then my dad was like dude, you have 36,000 miles on your car, the fluids are probably fine. Is he right? The older lady who owned the car first DID take it to her local stealership for regular maintenance and when i went to them they had the car down as getting a service at 32,000. What do you guys think? If im not doing any fluids i'll wait untill i get my PCX filters in off of eBay and do all the work while the car is elevated. And lastly, i know engine oil needs to be changed after a period of time, miles or not, is it the same for MT and Diff??

Fluids do get old, additives break down, stuff accumulates moisture, etc.

It is cheap insurance to change everything.

i heard if your using synthetic, you dont have to do a 3k change. It could last up to 5k.

I've heard countless times that the f20 likes to eat oil.. I get the feeling it would be worth the extra few bucks of doing it every 3k.

Eating oil doesn't mean it wears out. It means the motor is burning it, or pushing it out the pcv. apples and oranges
