Ok it will reach on a stock height S2k.. I fully expect it to bottom out on mine like every other jack Thanks for the info. I'll never be free from the 2x4s.

besides the AC Hydraulic jack and this one, I don't think there are any other ones with even the slightest chance of hitting the front jack point on a lowered S.

The seals on my Craftsman aluminum jack went out after 2 years, leaked oil everywhere and won't lift the car at all.

My car is lowered 1.3 inches all around and the Omega reaches my front jacking point no problem.

I purchased the Torin Aluminum Racing Jack 1.5 Ton from costco back in Nov. During its second session of use (put the S on 4 jack stands for diff & tranny fluid change), I was left with a pool of oil on the ground after every heavy lift. By the end of the fluid change, the jack would barely lift enough to get the car off the jack stands because it had leaked too much fluid! Thanfully its a breeze to return merchandise to Costso. Now I'm looking for another jack though, and I have qualms about buying the same model again.
Crap, I just bought that one. Big worry right now is the lowering speed. It drops the car *fast*. I try turning the handle ultra slow, but it still drops pretty fast. I should be concerned right?

Anyone got an updated recommendation for a floor jack?

I had to replace my Omega a few months ago nothing was wrong with it, I just didn't have room in the garage. The previous tenant built a nice big workbench but at the cost of garage depth I replaced it with a US General lightweight racing jack from Harbor Freight. It's ok except for some squeaking at the top of the jack's range. It's a LOT lighter than the Omega and smaller and shorter than both the Omega and an old Arcan floor jack (which I think came from Costco)
