Unless you are willing to spend $400 plus on a jack I do not think you will find one that will reach the front center jack point.
So which one is it? Will the craftsman reach the front jacking point or not???
If you want to lift from the front center the only jacks that I know that will reach it are the $400 jacks mentioned earlier or the $90 Harbor Freight track jacks. As I mentioned the HF jack just clears everything when the car is stock and as Harry said, I doubt if it is a long-life high-quality jack (you get what you pay for normally). For a side jack there are lots to choice from since the jack points are easy to reach. I hope that clears things up for you.

Can anyone with the Costco jack hit the front center lift point? The jack has a nice low stance for the first 12" but I'm thinking the front center point is more than 12" under the car.
I have the Costco jack, but can only reach the front central jacking point if I drive the front wheels onto boards.

So for the record, has anyone not been able to use the Craftsman jack on the front jacking point of a stock S2000 unassisted?

I'm thinking the Craftsman will be better for having in the garage and the Harbor Freight would be better for transporting...

I got the one from sears. It has plastic mat on top of the where it jacks up.
I just got that one from sears too. On sale for $99. It definately does not clear the front bumper but, it was more important for me to have something that will last longer and have better performance. Driving the car onto a set of 2x8s would probably be plenty to reach the front, central jack point. It does have a good feel and takes less than one pump to reach any jacking point.

Now I wish I wouldn't have wasted the money I spent on the jack from Kragen 3 years ago! It is full of lube but does not seem to be working right at all!

Costco sels a 3.5 ton low lift (3.5 inch to 22 inch) for $76.
I have this one... Only downside is it's HEAVY!!

But for the price it's worth it.

I made ramps out of (2) 10ft 2x10 spruce lumber.

Cut the front edges on a 45

I found it easier with 4 since you need room to work the lever. Don't forget it's only 1.75" actual per board

And the boards only work if you are jacking from the front and rear center jackpoints. You need to move the ramps to insert the jackstands.

I have the costco jack. I can reach the front jack point if I raise the rear first/then jackstand. I get to the front point by rolling the jack underneath behind the front tire. I am lowered by an inch and I still clear my Rick's X bar and get to the center jack point.

So you need more than a 2" ramp to get the jack to clear? Or is it just alot easier with 4"?
You only need boards long enough to drive the front wheels on to. Mine are exactly 2 feet long and they work fine. And, yes they measure 1-3/4" high in actual measurement.
