My craftsman like the above mentioned one just blew it's seal and leaked fluid everywhere about 3 months ago. I've been searching for a good jack, everyone likes the Harbor Freight but it only lifts 3000lbs, with todays market, I doubt my next car will be under 3000lbs and I think my G/F's is already over that. Any other suggestions for me and others in my situation?

Umm...do you plan on lifting the whole car on the jack or just one side.

3000lbs is what it can supposedly lift. If you just jack up one side of the car though, thats not going to be 3000lbs.

Could always get the 4000lb Harbour Freight jack if you're worried about it though.

Well, I finally broke down and bought a floor jack:

http://www.pelicanparts.com/catalog/shopca..._ACHyd1_pg1.htm

It's very expensive, but it looks like it will work great for all my vehicles. It's heavy, so it will stay in my garage. It's rebuild-able too if it starts to leak.

I heard that AC makes great jack stands too, but this company just started handling AC products and doesn't sell their jack stands yet. Can anyone recommend some good jack stands that are user friendly for our side panel jacking points on the S2000?

Thanks

I scored the mini version of this for free. It's less than 3 inches and fits under my car which is lowered. I think harbor freight has them for around 100 bucks. It's an AC Delco.

OK, I decided to just go ahead and order 4 of these ESCO jack stands:

They look like they should work very well.

That's what I found out after I already ordered the AC Hydraulic jack. I could have ordered them at the same time and possibly saved on shipping costs if I knew. Oh well...

Do you know the minimum/max height on those jack stands? I could not find it anywhere on the page.
