Default Fitting OEM lip and coastal metals protector

So, I've been trying to fit an OEM lip and Coastal Metals protector to my '02 (which didn't have the kit factory fitted). I've attached it using the 5 holes which actually do line up with the front bumper's holes. However, there are 4 other attachment points for the lip/protector, which match each other, but which do NOT match those on the bumper.

Can anyone tell me what I do to hook them up also?

Ok, anwser these and maybe we can help.

You car is an MY03 and had no OEM when you got it.

1. you just got the OEM lip and you just got the protector
Or
2. You had a protector and now want to add a new lip?
or
3. You just got a new lip and a new protector?

Did you know that Coastal Metals sells two different styles of front protectors? One goes onto the car when there is NO lip. The other one is designed to go onto the underside of the OEM front lip (pre-'04 only as far as I know). Do you have the correct protector?

Car is an MY03 and had no OEM when I got it- correct.

Just got the OEM lip, and just got protector. Bought as a package deal from an ex-Statesman, "cashout".

I know there is a protector for the lip and a protector for the bumper, and if you have the lip then the bumper protector won't work. But, given that:
1. I bought both parts from cashout and he says the protector is the right one (and he seems like a stand up guy!); and
2. I've got it fitting into some, if not all, of the holes; and
3. the protector holes line up with those on the lip,
I'm pretty sure it's the right protector.

Any ideas?

thanks guys

The OEM lip holes match the OEM front bumper. Also, the CM front bumper protector matches "some" of the holes in the front bumper. Therefore, the protector will match "some" of the holes in the OEM lip, just not all because the protector used most of the front bumper holes but the lip only uses some of the front bumper holes.
Although the lip protector is marketed as a different part than the bumper protector, it is quite conceivable that since the lip conforms to the shape of the bumper, that the bumper protector conforms to the shape of the lip. If is seems secure using what holes there are, then go with it.
