Default Fitting new soft top fabric off the car *HELP*

Hi guys, my ap1 is going in for a respray in a couple weeks but I have new soft top fabric to fit. As i don’t really have the space to keep it dry it’s going to be hard to fit it whilst on the car if I run into any problems. To get over this problem I wanted to know if it’s possible to remove the whole soft top including the frame, then send the car in for respray and fit the new soft top fabric to the frame whilst the frame is off the car. Anyone done it this way before or know if it’s possible? Thanks in advance

That is actually the best way to do it, so yes remove it and work on it at home.

Gutting the interior (rain rail and trim rail access) needs to be done anyway for a proper respray.
