Default FIRST SERVICE

What am I supposed to have done? I asked the dealer once and they reccommended that I bring the car in at 3700 miles. I know he said there is a definate oil change, but what else is recccomended?

I hear of some people changing out the tranny fluid, possibly the diff fluid.
Air filter? Just looking for some opinions and reccomendations, even if its not necessary Id like to know what people are changing. I want to keep my baby in prestine shape!

Thanks!

Oh, and what is the average cost of the first service from the dealer?

take a look at your manual

first oil change should be 5000 miles. tranny fluid and diff fluid typically aren't done til 15k miles. air filter should only be changed when it's dirty.

average cost for an oil change is about 30 bucks if you do it yourself

there are a bunch more, but these are some popular choices. don't use le-607 if your car sees the snow/extremely cold temperatures.

So is the diff prone to wear way before the transmission? You change the diff fluid before the transmission?

I will most likely go in for just the recommended oil change, and possibly get them to drain and refill my transmission fluid because it seems kind of notchy when i first start driving. Dont know if thats just the way the car is or what but it cant hurt...

My car is also notchy when I first start driving, it gets better as the car is warmed up.
