Default First clutch replacement.

I got my 05 Silverstone several months ago, and have been trying to get the basic maintenance done. Fluid changes, TCT, things like that. I plan on replacing the clutch soon, since it has 83000 miles on it and I've done it no favors by learning how to drive manual on it. I've got the clutch, a new flywheel, bearings and things but I've heard I should replace the rear main seal while I'm doing this as a preventative measure, along with the flywheel bolts. However, during my searching around I read a post Billman did in 2010 in which he said it is tricky to replace and not particularly prone to failure:

My question is if anyone has had any regular failures in the couple of years since this post, or if it is too difficult a task for someone also performing their first clutch change? On the flywheel bolts, I hadn't found anything during my search to indicate these are single use bolts, but since I am fairly ignorant about transmissions and car work in general I figured it couldn't hurt to ask. I'd like to do the work myself, just as a personal accomplishment thing.

I've changed my clutch twice and never changed the rear main seal. I personally didn't change out the flywheel bolts the one time I swapped the flywheel, but I did read that you should.

I did the rear main on mine for peace of mind. I do it all the vehicles I had because I had one fail and it wasnt pretty. Havent heard of too many rear main failures on s2ks though. I'd go ahead and grab a new clutch fork too while your at it. I think mine is toast and wish I would of done with the clutch out. Till then im driving until failure!

Clutch fork? What is that? What about the master/slave cylinders? How often do those get replaced?

Its the fork that pivots from the slave cylinder to the T/O bearing. Master cylinder is very common, check under the dash where the pedal connects to the MC and look for leaks.
