Default FIPK helpp

So I have a few vacuum lines I have no idea where they go ill attach pics. Also is there a gap betweeenthe shield and filter. And do you need to drill for the temperature sensor on the ap2 I'm lost

You need to look up the instructions on the manufacturer's PDF. I am no mechanical man but I was able to install mine. Pay close attention to each picture to figure out what goes where...

K&N instruction.

2004, I have read the directions from the manufacture they aren't 100% clear

K&N instruction.

step 14 is very confusing, I dont know where the check valve is

Drilling is only required for the 06+ models where the air temp sensor is located on the intake pipe.
It's normal to have a gap between filter and shield.

I did it without the manual. I just followed each line and made sure it pluggled in to the other side as it was stock

I assume the OP is having issues with how to hook up the coolant line to the throttle body. I can see how it can get confusing without instructions. Just keep in mind you're replacing all the hardlines with the rubber hoses from the kit.
