Default Finding a reliable torque wrench

Which company makes the most reliable and precise torque wrench?

The only company I've come across that provides NIST certification with their torque wrench is $nap-on.

Norbar are pretty good units. Nice feel and they seem to hold their calibration.

It depends on how much you want to spend. I use Snap On and I also have and use a Sears Craftsman. The big thing is making sure that you don't drop it and when you are done take off all the preasure by putting it back to 0. I also evey couple of years have them recalibrated.

If you're torquing critical bolts, specifically inside an engine, don't skimp on the wrench. For other things such as oil changes, just use the $20 harbor freight

Check craigslist and ebay for deals on $nap-on...can usually find a mechanic who is having to sell off tools or upgrading to the latest greatest.

Where do you get this done? How much does it cost?
