sounds close. do you have the OEM tires on there? if not, the tires could be part of the problem
Assuming the tires were a different size than stock, the RPMs and Speedo would still read the same, the car would just be travelling at a different speed than indicated.

I found an older post about final gear ratios that stated the following:
> AP#1 runs 4.1 @ 3700RPM @ 80MPH
...
> AP#1 runs 4.1 @ 3700RPM @ 80MPH

A stock AP1 with stock gears (4.1) turns 4,000 rpm at 75-76mph. I've never owned an AP2 so I cannot speak to them.

Stock AP1:
6th gear: 0.811
Secondary: 1.16
Final: 4.1
Overall: 3.857
225/50R16 rear tire nominal loaded diameter: 24.1 in.
--> 6th gear mph per 1000 rpm: 18.6
Stock AP2:
6th gear: 0.763
Secondary: 1.208
Final: 4.1
Overall: 3.779
245/40R17 rear tire nominal loaded diameter: 24.0 in.
--> 6th gear mph per 1000 rpm: 18.9
Your speedometer may vary.
