as far as what i'm running on the rear end, it's simply the 4.77's bought through rick's and a reinforced diff courtesy of comptech. a few more things that pop into my head:
-bring your mechanic whatever diff oil you want in there as well. i'm personally running amsoil 70w90 which was RR's old diff oil of choice. i'd suggest going with LE-607. RR knows his stuff so you can't go wrong.
-if you're going to change out the gear, consider the reinf. diff as well. strongly consider it if you're going to go FI especially. if you do the gears and diff at the same time, it'll save your mechanic some trouble and you some cash.
-it's not a matter of finding an experienced S2000 mechanic. it's just a matter of finding one that's done a good amount of work with gears and such. it's real detailed work and requires a high level of precision since the specs are so tight.
-on specs, hand your mechanic the S2000 helms manual. all the stuff he needs is in there for the work.
-crush washers and other items ... your mech will need that as well. there's a whole bunch of 'em to get. mark just ordered them all from honda, used the ones he needed, charged me just for those, and sent the rest back to honda for a refund. problem was ... i didn't know this til i was at his shop, so i had to come back a week later since those washers and such had to be ordered from out of town.
-although prob not really necessary, you might want to change out the diff oil after about 1,000 miles and put clean stuff in, then go back to regular intervals after that flush.

There isn't any need for a new LSD with 4.77s. The OEM LSD is not a common failure in this car. The gears themselves are the most common failure, then the bearing caps. If you do a lot of drag race starts (clutch dumps), then you might want to consider the housing. If you are just doing a lot of spiritted street driving (without clutch dumps), just install the new gears with good oil.
With regards to the gas mileage, it will increase around town, but decrease on the highway. I have never gotten better mileage around town than I am getting now, but my highway mileage has gone down about 4 MPG. My top speed is 143 MPH, bouncing off the rev limitter in 6th gear. My top speed was about 150 MPH before the gears, and I couldn't hit the rev limitter (not enough power).

I am in Germany where there are not any speed limits and the 4.77's are kind of a bad thing for that. On the autobahn I usually try and cruise just under V-Tech and that puts me at about 155 khm. I'd prefer not to run at 7500 RPM's in 6th for very long. I've never actually topped it out because I just feel wierd winding out 8000-8500 RPM's for such a long time. I'm pretty certain that with this gear ration I could hit 9 grand in 6th though. These do work well for all the windy roads and fun backstreets. If I could do it over I'd go with the 4.57's.

Well... I guess I just have to wait til I install it. For all of you who have taken the time to fill me in I thank you very much. I am now more confident with the installation.. There are not much highway in this city anyway so from what I have read I will be quite comfortable with the set up. After I have recceive the parts from the states I will install the Final drive and I will update you guys.
